Meet our Director
Teresa Lyons,
M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
In my more than 20 years of working in the field of education, I have had the good fortune to expand my skillset via different professional opportunities - early childhood special education teacher; elementary special education teacher for children with autism spectrum disorders; member of a division assistive technology team; autism/inclusion specialist; regional disabilities coordinator; low incidence disabilities coordinator with Virginia Tech's Training and Technical Assistance Center; as a Technical Assistance Associate with the Virginia Commonwealth University's Autism Center for Excellence; as an educational consultant, and now as the Director of a Precision Teaching Learning Lab.
In 2012, I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I received my Masters of Education from Lynchburg College and my Bachelor of Arts from St. Joseph's College in Patchogue, NY.
I am a professional educator who is passionately dedicated to the education of individuals through the application of the science of learning and precision measurement. I am proud to be one of 30 Fit Learning™labs in the world and the only lab in the Commonwealth of Virginia – www.fitlearners.com
